Sego release new video for "Sucker/Saint" Posted on November 30th, 2017

Los Angeles via Provo, UT band Sego share a new video today via Uproxx for their latest single "Sucker/Saint." The track comes off of the band's yet-to-be-titled sophomore LP, which is slated for a 2018 release.

"Sucker/Saint" is a reference to the dichotomy between songwriter Spencer Petersen's current life and his upbringing. While he grew up in a religious home in Utah, he currently exists in a very secular world in Los Angeles, giving him an interesting vantage point from which to observe people on both sides. It's a song about the complexity of modern identity, and how to incorporate your upbringing and past experiences into your daily life when the juxtaposition of the two can feel at odds with each other.

"'Sucker/Saint' seems to transcend the boundaries of genre and era, simultaneously incorporating the pulsating bass of a band LCD Soundsystem, alongside an ethereal and somewhat psychedelic singalong bridge reminiscent of the Beatles‘ later catalogue." — UPROXX
